Hi, I'm Tad Douglas.

I help business, ministry and non-profit leaders ignite transformative change  by clarifying their purpose and mission, promoting personal and professional growth, and developing the leadership in their organizations.

I am a business owner, entrepreneur, retired financial advisor and life-long resident of Louisville, KY. I have three grown children and live in La Grange with my wife, Kathy.

For over three decades as a financial advisor, I served as a coach and mentor to clients and colleagues helping them achieve their personal and professional objectives. As an entrepreneur I built and sold a successful business, and I have served in leadership roles in business, non-profit and faith-based organizations.

These experiences helped me find a clarity of purpose and fulfillment that has fueled a passion not only for my personal growth and development, but also to walk alongside others who seek greater fulfillment in their lives.

A life-long resident of Louisville, KY, I recently moved to nearby La Grange with my wife Kathy. Our children Eric Douglas, Kelly Hubbuch and Kyndal Smith all reside in the area, and we have five grandchildren.

Community activities include membership at Southeast Christian Church where I am a member of the Men’s Mentorship Team and lead a men’s study; La Grange Rotary; Oldham County Chamber of Commerce; and Kingdom Advisors.

Many people are looking for greater meaning and purpose beyond building a business or having an impressive title.

Through coaching these people who are searching for meaning and significance can find it in their everyday lives — at work and at home.

Why Work with Me?

If you want confidence and clarity in your life, I will help you implement strategies that will lead to these kinds of results:

Confidence from realizing personal potential

Client Testimonials

Hear real results from my current and former clients.

Leading others is a heavy burden but is lighter when I started to surround myself with the wisdom, experience, and passion that Tad brings.

Tad's approach to coaching was immensely helpful right away! He helped me identify my own leadership strengths and how to relate to others. On top of that, he provided beneficial solutions to structuring my ministry so that others might reach their own leadership potential.

Tad is thoughtful, kind and direct, and I have been blessed to work with him!

Tad Douglas has taken his vast amount of successful business experience and applied it as a speaker, trainer and coach.

I just finished my third session with Tad. He is one of the most intuitive persons that you will meet. He helped me define my goals and look at both my personal and professional missions. Tad has helped me focus on what is really important to me while I've been in the middle of a career transition.

I highly recommend Tad. He will help you and/or your team learn to focus on what your core values really are.

FAQs

I encounter a lot of leaders asking similar questions about coaching. Here are a few of them. If you have more, schedule a call with me. I would love to talk with you!

  • What are your credentials to coach or train people?

As an Executive Director of Maxwell Leadership, I am certified to facilitate, speak, train and coach individuals and groups in the areas of leadership development, professional skills and personal growth. Maxwell Leadership operates on the values-based leadership principles of the one of the world’s most recognized leadership authorities, John Maxwell.

  • What is coaching?

Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires people to maximize their personal and professional potential.

  • Is coaching the same as counseling?

No. Coaching is forward focused while counseling tends to deal with past mental health, personal or psychological issues where people find themselves stuck or struggling.

  • How would I meet with a coach?

Coaching sessions can be done in person, online or on a telephone call, according to the needs of the client and coach.

  • Is coaching done one-on-one or in groups?

Coaching sessions can be done privately, with a partner or spouse or in a group setting for an organization. The goals and content will vary according to the setting.

  • What does the coaching relationship look like?

Typically the sessions are for 60-90 minutes each, and are led by the coach according to the desires and concerns of the client. The relationship can be for a specified number of sessions, months or open-ended, depending upon the client’s objectives.

  • Can I count on confidentiality?

Absolutely. All conversations between the coach and client are confidential. A copy of our coaching definitions and ethics is available upon request.

  • What kind of agreement is there?

A written agreement outlines roles and expectations of all parties involved before beginning the coaching engagement, including financial terms and the extent of the relationship.

  • What are the payment terms?

Terms will vary with the type of coaching relationship desired and are clearly spelled out in the agreement. Payment can be made by check or via PayPal or Venmo.
